Easier than I thought it would be!

I have always gone to a CPA, however this year I decided to try it on my own. I had heard great things about Turbo Tax, and figured I was able to do it myself. I was pleased with how easy it was to get through all the many deductions. Although you needed to finish it once you started, because it didn't allow you to save what you had entered and return to it later. This seemed to be the only drawback. Will use Turbo Tax again next year, for certain... it'll save me $375.
What's great about it: The process was easier than I thought it would be. Walked me through everything!
What's not so great: Wasn't able to save and return to it later... needed to do it straight through.

Never SOOOO Disappointed !!!!!

I have used TurboTax Deluxe for at least the last 10 years of tax filing, with GREAT satisfaction and ease. Also, each year, in addition to my own personal taxes, I use it to prepare the tax returns of several other associates and friends. I've recommended the software to MANY people over the years, and gave it the highest accolades over other tax software I had tried. However, this 2012 version was extremely difficult to complete without extensive "outside of TurboTax" research. The interview process has changed (for the worse) over the years, as well a significantly noticeable lack of "Explain" menus, which had previously been available to provide extra clarity and / or further explanation of most sections. I am considerably upset with the amount of time and toil it has taken to complete 2012 tax returns, and I strongly hope the software writers resume the simplicity and "layman's terms" that made TurboTax the absolute best product on the market.
What's great about it: Ease of acquiring multiple tax forms, tax returns for any state, only prints what's necessary for filing
What's not so great: Convoluted interview process / questions / language than in previous year's versions, less "Explain" windows on the menu

awsomely easy

beginners try this you don't have to worry about giving total strangers your info from year to year. no outstanding fees for doing something so simple
What's great about it: helping you every step of the way
What's not so great: found none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall, easy to use and understand. All lot of questions an instant calculations. You can see your refund or how much you owe as you go along.
What's great about it: Very user friendly, easy to use.
What's not so great: Long list of questions and answers.

Help for the Stressed!

I am caregiver for my 90 year old+ plus parents and am having to complete their 2012 taxes for them. They did not use any organized record keeping and Turbotax was a miracle worker for me as it asked for the all necessary information and helped me to not miss any items they might have reported previously. What a wonderful and easy process it was to complete their taxes and mine! I will continue to use TurboTax FOREVER!
What's great about it: no matter what I throw at Turbotax -it gives the answers
What's not so great: can't think of anything I don't like!

TurboTax is aptly named.
Rapid movement through the questions and topics allows quick completion.The thorough interview process illicits all pertinent information. The specificity of questions allows little room for misunderstanding. When clarity is needed, a click of the mouse opens a box with answers to what is and is not allowed. The ability to revisit topics and add income or deductions saves time and can increase a refund. The incisive, yes/no approach eases the potentially cumbersome process. The review at the end gives confidence that incomplete or inaccurate information has been corrected, and the tax return is ready to submit.
The TurboTax experience compels return!
What's great about it: Fast, easy, thorough, complete
What's not so great: Forms less accessible
