I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE AN INVALUABLE WAY OF HANDLING TAX PREPARATION. IT LITERALLY GUIDES YOU THROUGH AREAS IN WHICH YOU MAY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE . IT ALLOWS THE EXPERIENCE USER TO PICK AND CHOOSE THEIR OWN PATH WHILE KEEPING TRACK OF WHAT TOPICS HAVE OR HAVE NOT BEEN EXPLORED. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE ATTEMPTING TO FILE THEIR OWN RETURNS.
What's great about it: EASE I LOADING PRIOR YEARS INFO. PROGRAM ALLOWS GUIDED PATH TO COVER ALL ITEMS OR ALLOS YOU TO SELECT YOUR OWN ORDER.

Did a Good Job But Not Great

Sate return e-filing should be free too.
What's great about it: Mostly easy to use.
What's not so great: Did not accept sold date of 1/15/2013 for 2012 tax year even though that is what happened.

I've used Turbo tax for years and it's always very easy to fill out my tax info. I do like the encouraging comments throughout the process.
What's great about it: Walked me through every tax detail
What's not so great: the instant launch to the Military donation website

Easy

Turbo tax was very easy to use, and did all of the calculations for us. Certainly was worth the purchase, especially since we procrastinated and did our taxes the weekend before tax day. Still, the guidance and simplicity of the program allowed us to zoom through the filing, even with all of our recent life changes. We've been using Turbo tax for years, and don't plan to stop anytime soon!
What's great about it: Very simple to use, did all of the calculations for us, e-file feature very convenient

Turb Tax the only way to do taxes

Quick and simple. I like not having to give all my tax and personal info to some clown who knows as much about taxes as I do. Easly guided through the whole process and takes no more time than taking all the stuff to a tax preparer.
What's great about it: easy and self guided. no special tax knowledge needed
What's not so great: overcoming the mere thought of taxes

Simple and Easy To Use

My taxes are pretty easy, basically mortgage interest, property taxes and charitable contributions for writeoff, single W-2 for a income... Took about an hour to complete everything. If the state E-file was included, it would have gotten 5 stars. We've paid for the software already, why pay for something that costs them absolutely nothing??????

What's not so great: State E-File not included with Deluxe Version

Very Intuitive

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. It has never let me down! Allowing only one e-file several years ago was my only complaint. They corrected it and now allow three!
What's great about it: After 10+ years, still the best!!
Pros: I bought or sold investments
