No hassle filing!

Makes the 1040 easy plus searches out all potential deduction. A+!
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance
What's not so great: Some prior year info did not import
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Be the Taxman!

I like turbo tax and I have used it for over 10 years. I like the way it transfers your last years data into the current year.
The interview is helpful in making sure you cover all the subjects and it compares last years and the current year which helps you see where you may have skipped some items.
The transfer to state is also helpful and going through the state is a breeze, at least for AZ.
It would be nice if they would take some of the premier features and add them to deluxe for free to make the ESPP and RSU entries a bit easier, but deluxe can do it all it is just the interface could be nicer for the cost.
I can not complain I keep using it and it does get the job done.

2012 better than ever

Overall I liked 2012 turbo tax design. the flow was a lot easier than previous years.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and move around

Turbo and me

I was able to find some of the answers through the system. I was not able to make changes on my business assets easily. The program did not make it clear on how to change the errors so I could go on. Was lost on claiming the amounts aplied to retirement funds through work.
I was able to work through the information instead of going to a tax person or company. Thought about it. Yet was able to do this myself for another year.

Totally Taxed Tonight.

I have been a TurboTax user for many, many years. I love it. It is easy to use and very accurate. I especially like the comparison features from previous years and with the national norms. The audit risk indicator eases my mind when it is "in the green".
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance is the best.
What's not so great: You can't read my mind - or make me tax-exempt.

Easy and fast... but....

Turbo tax didn't catch my COLA deduction from my state taxes... caught it after I filed, so now I'll have to file an amended federal tax form and probably have to pay turbo tax to file it for me which negates the "free federal e-file. I"m a little bummed.
What's great about it: Easy and fast.
What's not so great: Didn't figure in my COLA on my federal return

I tried to do my daughters return after i efiled mine. It was a nightmare. Turbo Tax could not clear out my information and every time I tried to delete or edit it didn't work. My daughter who made $1,588.00 at a part time job kept having form 8824 pop up from my return, etc. I could not efile hers (although you did charge me) becasue I couldn't get past the error check. It even insisted she was her own dependent which again was a bleed over from my return. Not only was this a major flaw but by doing a second return I now can't import mine for next year.
What's great about it: The first return I did was mine and it went very well. I efiled and was happy.
What's not so great: the program cannot do a second return without seperating it from the first.
