Amazing Detail

This was a much better experience than past years sitting with accountant or doing my own taxes by hand! I was surprised at how in depth each question could go. It made me feel safe and that I did not leave any vital information out. And they even had live tax experts to talk to! I will recommend this program to my friends and family and feel peace of mind knowing my return is accurate.
What's great about it: Ease of use

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. I dread tax season but it does make doing your taxes more tolerable.
What's great about it: It is easy to use explains everything
What's not so great: it should auto kick you back to the section that needs correcting it does not do that

Turbo Tax gets better every year

I have used Turbo Tax for years and it's excellent...improving every year. This year was so fast I was stunned. I love ITSDEDUCTIBLEONLINE.com - such an easy way to capture my donations for the year. And it provides more $$ than I would have calculated on my own.
My whole family uses TurboTax - no disappointments.
What's great about it: Fast and steps you through everything you need for your returns

2012 Filing

I've been using TurboTax since 2007 and wouldn't even consider using any other software. I stopped for one year and went to a tax preparation company, because I wasn't sure if I was doing everything right. That cost be 3x's as much and didn't produce any different results. They used a tool that was very similar to walk them through the return. After that, I never turned back. TurboTax is thorough, easy to understand, has help available if needed and walks you through the process step by step. I would recommened this software.
What's great about it: convenient, easy to use, intuitive, help available if needed
What's not so great: help wasn't available for questions on IL state return

Turbo Tax has gotten much better over the years in terms of its layout and descriptions of the tax code. It really does make it easy for novices like myself to do their taxes.
What's great about it: Detailed descriptions of different forms of income, deductions, and credits. A

Easy, Easy, Easy

I find this a simple way to do taxes. I don't have anything especially difficult to deal with and everything is laid out so well. Being able to submit electronically and receive a direct deposit refund is great!

More trouble

My 2011 TurboTax won't open and I couldn't print forms or look for my AGI this year. The 2012 TurboTax wouldn't open after I started a return and I couldn't delete it and reinstall until I spent an hour with a nice support person. I was afraid when I opened it to file and print that it wouldn't work (it did). I'm really wondering whether to buy TurboTax next year.
What's great about it: Step by step and easy
What's not so great: Wouldn't work - had to re-install

faster and cheap than going to an "expert"

My wife and I can gather our info and do our taxes in one evening when it's convenient rather than going to meet with someone we don't know during their business hours.
What's great about it: double checks my work
What's not so great: never can seem to transfer my w-2 from my employer
