turbo tax is great... I've been using it for 8 years now, and it's always provided me with excellent support. Intuitive menus and layout, and the wizard makes it even better. Thanks for simplifying my life!

Gets Better Every Year

I appreciate the natural, user-friendly tone of Turbo Tax. Once a user gets started, it's almost as if one is having a conversation with a friend about what needs to be done, and why. The words of encouragement along the way strengthen that perception.
On the down side, the number of categories in 'It's Deductible' could easily be increased ten-fold.' A user must resort to 'Custom' far too many times to work through this section in a timely manner. To paraphrase an Old Saw, "The Devil is in the (lack of) details.' Need ideas? Send your software designers on a long walk through your neighborhood Salvation Army and/or Value Village outlets with notebooks in hand. The 'research' to be gained there might also help in confirming/updating the estimated value of donated items by checking current pricing.
What's great about it: Logical progression. Anticipates questions. Good sequencing of pertinent info..
What's not so great: Need much greater item variety in 'It's Deductible.'

Fairly easy this year

I was nervous after last year's experience. I've used TT for many years but last year was a disaster as the program kept sending to the TT online form and then into a Catch-22 back and forth with my form. This year's version was back to the 'smooth and organized' version.
What's great about it: Moving through the the links for help seemed a lot smoother this year
What's not so great: still don't like that I haven't figured out how to jump back to change or look at one thing and then not have to go thro

I have used this for over 10 years. It has been easy to use. I've never been questioned by the IRS for anything in my filings with T-Tax.
What's great about it: Through explanitons when needed
What's not so great: Cost of state e-filing
