Was easy to use and did the job

I found Turbotax easy to use and I completed my return in record time. I would like more advice and an ability to do a side by side form comparison with the previous years return.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Could use some more explanations

Loved this year's software...was much more user-friendly than previous versions. Liked the personal touch with the pictures of actual IRS employees and added humor.
What's great about it: Detailed instruction guiding me as to what documents I needed
What's not so great: Long long process...took about 6 hours to complete

reliable software

Overall, I am happy with the product. The state version was a bit shorter than what I expected, and I ended up paying some. Great product though!
What's great about it: always love the review for errors at the end
What's not so great: sometimes the language is not user-friendly for a non-accountant type person
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

World of Refunds

There was one problem on the final review hat should have been caught during the federal review. That was about union dues. It caused some concern about reducing taxes (it didn't) so why the need for it. I do like that all the personal information does not heve to be reentered but can be edited. Also like what seems like the coverage of income and deductions
What's great about it: speed, last year info, comparison
What's not so great: reanswer questions after a save, cost for state filing

Gets simplier every year.

Turbo Tax is great. Don't know what I would do without it. And it gets BETTER every year. I know, I have used it since it first came out back in the last millienium I think. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax seems to get simpler every year and that's great.
What's not so great: Fees for electronic filing are a bit of a rub at the end.

Best Tax Software Available

I have been a Turbo Tax user for so long that I cannot even remember when I started being a customer. I love the user interface. It makes filing taxes so easy. Once they question you on everything under the sun to make sure you get all the deductions you deserve, they then review your return for mistakes and chances of being audited. They also give you the option of buying audit defense where if you do get audited that they will handle everything for you. They even have a program that allows you to pre-order your tax software for the upcoming year. I find this great since I am so busy during the holiday season that I would forget to get the tax software in lieu of time with the family. Turbo Tax takes all the stress out of taxes. All you have to do is key in what is on your forms and let Turbo Tax take care of the rest.
What's great about it: Easy User Interface, Painless Prep and Filing

Skip the CPA - Turbo Tax is the Way to Play

Liked that the program includes more third parties to link to for uploading financial information automatically. Didn't like that the radio buttons were inconsistently clickable. Sometimes, it seemed you needed to double click and other times, you could single click to get the transaction to begin. The price for efiling state taxes alone seems pretty steep.
What's great about it: Importing of more data is easier and faster than ever, so you can be done with your taxes and go out and play!
What's not so great: Frustrating radio buttons and relatively expensive CA state filing fee

Peace of Mind

Due to unforseen circumstances, I had to take out a large amount of funds from my IRA. I was so involved in trying to handle the problem, that I forgot to pay the estimated taxes for the amount. I didn't know how to file the paperwork, and TurboTax guided me through the process. It's a relief to know that my taxes were filed appropriately, which eased my worry.
What's great about it: Assistance w IRA tax calculations
