What can I say? It does the job. It is easy for me to use year after year because it imports my previous years tax info.
What's great about it: software led through steps in a logical manner
What's not so great: sometimes cumbersome to go through unnecessary sections

I love the ease of moving through the process with guidance. You just need to nudge me more on other available deductions like sales tax.
What's great about it: guidance throughout.
What's not so great: need to nudge me more on options (i.e.sales tax)

Easy Work

Very Intuitive and easy to use despite obscure tax code in US. Only downside was after all errors were fixed and I elected to efile, another error popped up. It was related to a field that had to be filled in to support e-filing, but it was not easy todeicpher the reason for the new error.
What's great about it: Speed and simplicity of e-filing
What's not so great: additional error message after e-filing selected

Too many updates, ever other day check for updates found an update. Then after the update it wouldn't start automatically. No way to undo certain selections.
What's great about it: easy to fllow format
What's not so great: Too many problems this year, worse ever

Turbo Tax

I really like Turbo Tax, but still find taxes very frustrating to do! Would like access to what info should gather for the next year, such as what can be included for car expenses for work. How do you know whether mileage or depreciation with repair and upkeep would be better to claim without having to figure out both ways? I couldn't understand how to do depreciation, and wanted to try going that avenue as had more than $6000.00 repair, tires, insurance, etc. And does company reimbursement for mileage (which is half of what is allowed) have to be entered if do depreciation and expenses rather than just mileage route?
What's great about it: Simple to use
What's not so great: No response to posted questions, would like area to request what would be helpful next year- car depreciation?

If you are lazy about what you give to your tax person, this program is for you. It will make you dig for deductions and understand how you spending your money,.
