So Happy to not have to think extra

I am very glad that I finished my taxes without having to think very hard.
What's great about it: Saves information from prior years, easy, quick
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Return To Reality

It's REALITY that we all have to fill out a Tax RETURN.....It's REALITY that some of us OWE on these Tax RETURNS. Turbo Tax softens the blow with the REALITY of the final total. Turbo Tax makes you feel like they are on your side in this unfavorable aspect of REALITY. They search every possible square inch of the latest tax code so you won't be ignorant in this venture but not suffer in overpayment either. I would HIGHLY recommend Turbo Tax to anyone and everyone...it's kinda like having a family member in the tax preparation business. They lead you by the hand while they RETURN you to the REALITY of RETURNS!!!
What's great about it: Deduction finder!!!!!
What's not so great: We still had to pay by no fault of Turbo Tax, still a bummer though!!!!

Taxes made easy

Easy to use and fast. Very complete. When I had questions on some of the terms used (vocabulary), the links were able to further explain what was being addressed. Made understanding what I was doing that much easier. Also easy to go to the places/steps that I could see I had made a mistake. Very easy navigation. I've used TurboTax for over 12 years. Only once did I try a competitor software. Won't make that mistake again.
What's great about it: Walked through everything step by step and included lots of places to get better details & explanations.

Stress Relief

Very easy to use - just follow the prompts, answer the questions, fill in the blanks and Turbo Tax does all the hard work! I was able to file our federal, state, and city tax returns quickly and I can feel comfortable that they are correct. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax explains the tax rules as you go along.
What's not so great: Nothing!

Terrified by Taxes

Last year was the first time I actually did our taxes, I was always terrified of attempting them. I have basic accounting experience but the verbiage on tax forms always confused me. Turbo Tax helps you understand what to do by using easy-to-understand questions. Finally in my 50's I'm able to say I'm not afraid to do taxes.
What's great about it: The question and answer approach really helped me go through the return.
What's not so great: Loaded to a new machine and had trouble transferring files from 2011 return.

Rocked Dad's Refund!

It's been almost three years since her passing and we're finally giving away a lot of my mother's things. I had never done the itemization with the price list. So now, I just keep a list of everything in every bag we give away and add them up at the end. Tres simple et magnifique! My sister had been telling me about this though I think she uses a different program. I love it. Thanks so much.

I would never be able to do my own taxes without TurboTax. I saved a lot of money on tax preparation fees.

Foreign Earnings Aren't 100% Clear

Turbo Tax is very easy to use, even for someone who hates to do taxes. For many years, I had someone do my returns for me, but I can do them myself in a couple of hours for much less money. This year I earned some income abroad, and the instructions were a bit confusing, In the end I figured it out.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for 3 years now, and find it easy to understand, and very accurate for straightforward taxes.
What's not so great: The instructions for what to do with foreign income were a bit unclear
