best tax software

I typically use a CPA but this year I decided to use Turbo Tax. I'm impressed how easy it was to use. I feel that it went through as many deductions as possible to help me.

Dont Bother with Anything Else

This is my third year using Turbo Tax and I Find that it is the easiest, most helpful tax program Ive ever tried. They key to it is that the simplicity disguises an underlerlying complexity, but not to the point where it makes me a bystander. Ant time I desire the complexity I can pull up the form in question and dive in. Frankly, the thing is so comprehensive I rarely need (or desire) to go to the underlying IRS forms.
Oh, one more thing: Without Turbo Tax? It would take three times as long and I would be paying more for the effort. Great product, see you next, and every, year.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, Well explained tax code requirements
What's not so great: Only one: It can sometimes be tedious to go back to the begining . Very minor

Refund made easy for math challenged

TurboTax Delux 2012 was easy to use right from the start. Every step was spelled out and easy to follow. TurboTax from last year was already on our computer ... we loved the way the program pulled over all of our information from the previous year. Hats off to TurboTax ... see you next year!
What's great about it: The Turbo Tax Delux program walked us through the tax return process with clear and easy directions.
What's not so great: Some of the investment sections were a little confusing.

As usual - Quick and Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and as a result, I have developed considerable confidence in the product. Although I usually have a simple return, I have had some twists recently. Turbo Tax, at least to this point in time, has been able to accommodate those twists. I will be entering retirement soon and I expect there will be even more twists in the future.
What's great about it: Quick, easy transfer of previous years info. Easy entry of current years info.
What's not so great: Missed the voices.

Turbo Tax is Great

Love using turbo tax every year! It pulls in information for the previous year, does comparisons and checks to make sure there are no errors in your filings. It makes doing taxes very easy and mostly painless!
What's great about it: Easy to use year after year
What's not so great: Can be a bit confusing at times

Amelioration of Agony

TurboTax is a great product. I've been using it ever since 2007. I can do my entire return in 3-3.5 hours. And I don't have to worry about using the wrong forms or making a mathematical error. The quick refund processing time is nice.
What's great about it: Step-by-Step Process of Filing Return
What's not so great: The high electronic filing fee for my State Tax Return

Awesome way to file tax returns

Turbo Tax is a very thorough program to make sure all of our information is correct and optimizes our refund.
What's great about it: anticipated all our questions
What's not so great: can't think of anything
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
