Another year wth Turbo Tax

easy and to the point tax preparation. Easy to compare last years to this years tax returns. Easy to walk through all the possible categories for income and deductions. Another good year with turbo tax
What's great about it: Straight and to the point. easy to use and easy to compare previous years returns
What's not so great: fee for e-filing with state

Went very well and it allowed me to feel good even though I had a LOT of "forms"

Easy to use

2012 software was quicker and easier to use than previous years. The Help section seemed much more clear when explaining details. I thought it was a good improvement.
Once again I would like to see a link in the Charitable Deductions section that links to the Internet for major organizations. It should automatically fill the address section of the group once you pick the correct name from a list. This list could be developed by contacting the organizations and asking them to provide that link to tax software producers.

What's great about it: Covered all the bases quickly. Very clear directions! Help explained things in easy to follow language.
What's not so great: No link to internet for finding info on national based organizations.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and it takes a lot of stress out of getting my tax return completed. I like the reminders for items that can be easily overlooked and the interface is simple to use. The HSA sections information and instructions are still limited and it shouldn't be. There was a bug in this section a couple years ago and i just got a letter from the IRS asking me for more money because in 2010 it didn't move the 1099 SA into the right area and now i am going to have to amend the return. Otherwise very good program.
What's great about it: Keeps the process in an easy to follow format
What's not so great: HSA section is still confusing

It guides you through step by step and checks your information to ensure everything is correct. Then the final review gives you confidence that your return is correct. It finds you every possible deduction available.

Have used TurboTax for the last three years and each year my return gets bigger. We used to pay every year and now we don't dread completing our taxes. Thank you TurboTax!
What's great about it: User friendly with all the tools needed to complete all forms
What's not so great: None noticed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

6th year i have used turbo tax. didn't have to reenter data it was a snap
