I liked how TurboTax took all our info and combined it into our new return. Any questions that came up I was able to research in the Turbo Tax community or on the website.

Not One Hang Up --- Smooth Sailing

Turbo tax made me feel like I was getting every penny worth of software. Thoroughness, logical step-by-step process. The ability to jump to forms view was very valuable. Not once did I get lost or have to search through the steps. I could jump to the area I needed without fear of not covering something. Summary screens were very helpful to compare with last year. It does help to have all your information sorted and available. I use Excel spreadsheets and transfer the data during the step by step process. I've been using Turbotax now for over 15 years and would be lost without it.
What's great about it: Ease and thoroughness of Step by Step method, convenient ability to look at associated forms, additional helps and tips
What's not so great: had to scroll to bottom to get to next income or expense section

Easy Breezy

Turbo Tax was an easy breezy program. I can't believe I can do it by myself. I loved that I can go back and edit my previous answers. I loved that it has the "learn more" button so I can learn more on a specific item. What a breeze!
What's great about it: It was easy.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10 plus years and this year had to be my worse experience with it. The federal portion was about on par with past experience. But the state form was terrible. There were errors that wouldn't clear until the federal portion was changed and othe parts of the state form had to be manually completed since there were no questions to walk you through that section. Given the price of the state portion of Turbo Tax along with the state E-file charge, I will give serious thought to skipping the state portion of Turbo Tax next year and completing it by hand.

love using Turbo Tax

I use this program to do my children's taxes as well as my own.
What's great about it: having control of your taxes without having to do it by hand
What's not so great: feel like if I file early with Turbo Tax I might miss an update and my form could be wrong
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The LTC information was incomplete and extremely hard to follow. Would suggest reviewing this item and making it easier to understand. (VA tax return)

Quick and Painless

The software is perfect for preparing taxes. I never felt rushed, but the entire program only took 2 to three hours to complete. It was a lifesaver, and well worth it's price.
What's great about it: Well written software that takes all the pain from preparing taxes.
What's not so great: A few too many areas where they try to sell other products or services during the preparation.
