Great product

I was able to quickly do returns for myself and my family. No problems at all. Would definitely recommend to others.

I love using Turbo tax and have for many years. I would like it if you would put the continue buttons on the top and bottom so that I do not always have to scroll to the bottom for every subject.
What's great about it: Very easy.....

12 Years and counting...on TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for over 12 years. It has gotten better every year. I do miss the video feature though which was in several years ago.
* More help on the states would be helpful. For example I had some US Treasury Obligations sold. While TT identified that I need to make adjustments for state capital gains tax it did not say what it should be. I had to go to the state's website to findout about this
* Since in my case the Standard deduction was the best. However after confirming the filing I don't know why all other documents such as worksheets which are no longer relevant still being generated

What's great about it: Clean interface, lots of good help on Federal Tax
What's not so great: No context sensitive help for State; No option to show only relevant forms that are required for filing

Almost Automatic

I started using MacinTax in 1986 and have been using Turbotax since the early 1990s. The things I like about turbo tax include the fact that it maintains information from one year to the next, you are able to easily download (most) salary and investment information (I realize that you and others had to get the companies to make this available), and that the program is able to calculate ahead things like AMT and such so that you are not surprised by the extra cost of those. One think I would like to see is some way to enter the donations in a more streamlined way (or be able to import or download them. One thing I do not like (but understand why they are not worked on) is that sometimes you can go into a form by mistake, your choice is remembered and there is no way to safely get rid of it. It shows up in the review, and you are forced to fill it out. This happened to me this year with the W-4 form. If you back out of it without filling in any information, it should never be created. I usually are smart enough not to go off the path, but made that mistake this year.

What's not so great: Would be nice if forms backed out of would diappear or could easily be removed

I found Turbotax easy to use. Some of the EasyGuide terms were confusing. I would recommend Turbotax to family and friends.

The Turbo Experience

Turbo tax is fast and friendly. Having last year to compare, makes it really easy. My taxes were done in less than 30 minutes.
What's great about it: Quick and easy, like the look back to last year comparison
