I WILL NEVER USE TURBOTAX AGAIN!

I HAVE NO RECORDS OF THE 3 TAX RETURNS I DID FOR MY FAMILY. I CAN'T SAVE THE FILE, PRINT THE FORMS....NOTHING. WHAT CAN I DO NOW WITHOUT ANY RECORD OF THESE 3 RETURNS?
What's great about it: WORKED FINE TILL........
What's not so great: I COULDN'T SAVE OR PRINT MY RETURNS!

Less time required

I've used TurboTax for 5 years and especially appreciate how simple it is to use and the ways the software enables me to complete my taxes in less time. I've used "It's Deductible" to track my charitable giving, and for the first time used the option to download my investment info from investment firms' websites. All these features are easy to use and facilitate completing the tax forms in less time. I will use TurboTax again next year.
What's great about it: user friendly and uncomplicated
What's not so great: got frustrated determinining better option for State and Local Income taxes as I purchased a vehicle in 2012

Still much better than doing it manually.
You should offer more than one state download at least in regions such as New England where working in multiple states is common. The cost to download an additional state is prohibitively high

Be gentle, it was my first time

Very user friendly, didn't have any great difficulty. I would like to see a pane that shows where the information being given is put onto the various IRS forms, like you show for errors. I tend to use last year's return as a "guide", to make sure I haven't missed something and to follow along. I'm looking forward to next year, not having to retype so much of the basic information. Having the federal return download directly into the state was a real plus, made the entire process very seamless and painless.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions were very easy to follow
What's not so great: Can't compare what's occuring with the 1040 form

Awesome Download of Information from My Broker

With the complexity of the tax code, TurboTax makes it possible for a guy like me to do my own taxes. In reading reviews of various tax preparation businesses and the variable results in getting accurate tax returns, I have the most confidence in TurboTax for accurate tax return preparation. The opportunity to download information from my brokerage house directly into my forms minimizes the chance for errors and saves a lot of time. That's important when you have a variety of accounts and investments within those accounts. I have used TurboTax for a number of years and I will continue to use it in the future.
What's great about it: Great guidance through the process.
What's not so great: Unclear on exact information to enter in a couple of places.

Turbo tax is like having a cpa in your living room suggesting deductions, letting you know what is and is not allowed, adding everything up in a form that is much easier to read and understand than gov't forms. Then when all is said and done, if you wish to, you may file right then and there online! I also like the availability to purchase representation should you be audited.
What's great about it: Forms shown in format that is easy to read. Automatically calculates, adds suggestions for deductions.
What's not so great: none
