This is the sixth year I've used Turbo Tax and have not had any problems to date. Program is logical, and very thorough in asking appropriate questions for a complete and accurate return. I feel the program produces an honest reflection of the input data, which yields a return with minimum payment or maximum refund (and I've had both situations).
What's great about it: reasonable price, easy to input data and print completed forms
What's not so great: competition should suggest lower price next year

Turbo Tax - Life Saver

We found Turbo Tax to be well organized and complete in its approach to filing taxes and recording everything required to file taxes appropriately. There was very little ambiguity or unknowns that had to be dealt with. This made doing the taxes a breeze and offered assurance.
What's great about it: It was quick and easy and very methodical in its approach
What's not so great: Constant reminders that an upgrade in the version of TT may fetch a greater return

I've used Turbotax for years and find it easy to use. However, the few "enhancements" over the years don't add any value. They are distracting and a waste of time. The thought of asking the "community" for tax advice is simply ludicrous: paying taxes is not like buying an appliance or looking for a restaurant. This year's addition of photographs of tax "experts" is beyond silly: if I needed a person I would go to a real one. The sales pitches are getting out-of-hand: how many times do I need to say I don't want representation? All this nonsense just adds more and more useless screens I have to go through. A total waste of time and inappropriate considering that this is not a free product.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Pictures are silly and useless; too repetitive; too many sales pitches

TurboTax the TNT for Tax Preparation

Using this sure and effective software has made my life easy. Even hen unusual conditions arais, TurboTax guides me through it like a hot knive in butter. TurboTax makes me feel safe and sure that my taxes are on the monty and all possible savings are identified.
What's great about it: Solid and effective evaluation of all questions and situations. Made the process quick, sure and safe.
What's not so great: There are no situations unaddressable.

Very Professional

This was my first TurboTax experience, and it was easy and took the fear away of doing my own taxes. I have not done my own taxes for 42 years. I did have to make a call regarding the oil and gas royalties I receive, but the service was efficient and helpful. I would definitely recommend separating the rental property from the royalties. My wait was 45 minutes (not bad considering it was April 13th) and the phone transmission was spotty, but the rep stayed with me and repeated herself. She also e-mailed additional IRS information. I thought TurboTax was a good value for me.
What's great about it: Leads your from page to page with clear instructions. Good explanation of terms.
What's not so great: Property and Royalty section confused because they are together. Should separate.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Tax Season

Having step by step instructions made tax season fairly easy this year. Turbotax made things a lot less stressful.

Our neighbor did his by hand....he had quite the struggle. I, on the other hand, did mine in just a few hours. If I had kept every thing in a folder all year, it would have been much faster! LOL
What's great about it: Loved the ease that this 75 yr old woman went through to file her taxes!
