Easy Peasy

I have never done my taxes myself before....I never thought I could. Turbo Tax is remarkable. Now I know I can do my taxes myself and save lots of time and money!

Trust it is done correctly

I've used TurboTax for a number of years. The best improvement was when they added ItsDeductible to the program. It is very useful because we donate a large amount of clothes and other household items each year. I also like how it transfers information from the previous year's file. It transfers everything from our personal information to our mortgage companies to our banks to the charities we support and their addresses. That saves me a lot of time since I don't have to enter the information again; instead I just enter the amount of money. It also shows what categories applied to us in last year’s return vs. this year’s return as I go through the process. That helps me make sure I didn't forget anything or if it doesn't apply for this year's return I am aware that it is being dropped or if I have something new that I am aware of it being new.
What's great about it: The easyguides do a good job of stepping me through the process.
What's not so great: If I want to go back to a specific question I have to start at the beginning of the section and step through everything.

Still the best

Whether you're filing the first time, twentieth time, simple or complex forms, this is the best and easiest way to file taxes.
Never worry about missing important forms, credits, deductions or even added income to report. Plus you don't need to practice your math skills before starting.
What's great about it: easy to use and thorough
What's not so great: still a bit repetitive when reviewing sections

Turbo Tax saves time, it's easy to use, and it's accurate. The 'explore by myself' feature is designed well. I like that the screen makes a line by line comparison with last year's taxes.

Great Experience

Everything was straight forward and quick. Unfortunately there were a few parts that required a manual deletion of an entry after it was determined that a value was entered in an incorrect location. Additionally, some of the dependent information was entered by the program that did not match the selected information. It was caught during final review but should not have happened in the first place. Specifically the period a dependent had lived with during the year. The question was answered all year but the program entered blank on the actual form. The final review did catch it though.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Had to go back and delete a value manually after returning to change an answer from yes to no.
