Easy to use and simple enough to understand

Have been using TurboTax for many years. The cost seems to be going up substantially because there is relatively little competition.
What's great about it: Points out your mistakes
What's not so great: Difficult to return to where you left off after going back to fix something

Thorough tax return

Turbo Tax is easy to use and very thorough. I am confident of my return's accuracy by using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Explored many possibilities of tax reduction

Long-Time Turbo Tax User Still Loves It!

I've used TT for more than 10 years and do 4-6 personal, family, and friend returns each year. I've used the Deluxe and the Home and Business versions at various times as needed, and each year TT gets better and better. Some yrs ago there seemed to be a couple of glitches every year that I'd work through and report, as did others, but they were usually fixed the next year. Of course, some glitches turned out to be caused by "operator error," so I got better, too! But in the last two years, tax yrs 2011 and 2012, I've run into nothing at all that's glitchy! Even with easy returns, I use the "Guide Me" option, which takes a little longer, but takes me through areas for deductions and credits that I may not know about, or may have forgotten existed. When I'm done, I have confidence that TT has exposed me to all the possible deductions and credits I might take and that I've chosen the appropriate ones. Just today I got an additional $2500 refund for my son and wife from the American Opportunity Education Tax Credit, which I learned about from TT! I also love the links they offer throughout the program that can give me more detailed info if I'm interested. And I like the professional, but friendly, tone to the "conversation" as I go through the program. I also like that, even with improvements annually, the STYLE doesn't change drastically from year to year, which makes it familiar enough to be comfortable ... unlike new versions of Word, Excel, etc, which change so much I'm totally lost for weeks! Over all, I love TT, and recommend it unconditionally to my friends!
What's great about it: Prompts me about deductions or credits I may not have known about or remembered.
What's not so great: When using Guide Me, when finishing a segment, take me to the bottom of list instead of top so I don't have to scroll dn

Happy it's done

For the most part using Turbo tax is simple and stress free. I did struggle with my children's taxes due to nondividend distributions found on a 1099-DIV but in the end I figured it out. I would highly recommend using turbo tax to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy knowledge using step by step questioning
