TurboTax is only as good as the info you enter, and you should work it out by hand before using to be sure you and TurboTax agree. This year I could not alter the penalty shown for underpayment of Fed tax -- even though I did not owe a penalty since I paid in estimated taxes 100% of last year's tax. It was very frustrating, and I finally printed the returns and changed the penalty with White-out and a pen.
What's great about it: Makes you feel "protected" that you'll file a correct return.
What's not so great: Harder and slower to use than earlier versions!

Turbo Tax is an education in taxes!

You really don't need to know anything, other than how to enter data to get great results. I've used this for the past 10 years.
What's great about it: Educates you as you go along, it's more than just entering the numbers

Reduced my tax burden

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. The product has been improved each year. Being able to import data from financial institutions and having the data placed in the proper forms saved well over 10 hours of work.
What's great about it: Step by step made sure I covered all my deductions. Import records from financial institutions
