Great as always

Consistently a good product. I have used Turbo Tax for at least the last 15 years and never had a problem. Only mistake ever made on my taxes is when I used a tax service and not Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy for all filings - student, individual, retired
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Year 9 and going strong

This is our ninth year using Turbo Tax and we remain very happy with the product and confident that our returns are submitted properly. We'll definitely be back for year 10!
What's great about it: Imports my data from previous years
What's not so great: not all the buttons make sense

I would like to see more about actors and what is allowable for them to take as a deduction. They spend a lot of money setting up auditions renewing Head Shots and may never get a paying part. Other wise it is very easy to follow
What's great about it: the approach to doing taxes with the easy quide
What's not so great: I only had a difficult time with my son's 1099r because the theater wanted him to clainm independent contractor.

File limit claimed, not your fault, but not fair by the IRS.
I used Turbo Tax for years and would recommend the program to anyone.
What's great about it: Do Family's Taxes
What's not so great: Can only E'file five Fed returns.

Excellent Tax Service and Refund Support

I think that Turbo Tax is basically user friendly overall.
You are guided through the process step by step, which is long and detailed. However, I believe because it is this way- you are less likely to get audited versus doing it on your own. Also, they let you know about ways you can get credit for things you have paid for or been charged for like student loans, expenses and other hidden areas like miles driven for
medical expenses that you might not normally think about.
They also make sure to give you the best money back you can get in your situation.

Thanks for this product. I only have the issue of finding my information when I have used the CD some years and other years done my taxes online. I can't always share info that is recurrent.
Glad I can use the CD version to do more than one tax return. I hated having to pay extra for doing my son's simple taxes in addition to mine in the past.

What's not so great: some issues with review backwards if entries need to be revised-easier after several years using

Misconceptions

I was too lazy to use other companies tax forms because turbo tax had my prior info and it was just downloaded. Other companies I would have had to manually enter ALL info. Thus I wound up paying to file my state taxes even though the state and turbo tax said it was to be free for low income filers. Boo.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Information incorrect on state filing
