Easy as Pie

We've used Turbo Tax for quite a few years now and love the ease of using it and not having to pay a couple of hundred dollars for someone else to enter our information.

Overall turbotax walked me through the process with ease . Each section asked questions.and then reviewed., It is an affordable alternative in placwe of a CPA
What's great about it: I have filed my taxes many times with turbotax and has saved me thousands of dollars
What's not so great: The help section was a bit difficult to use for specific questions

I have been using Turbo tax for more than 12 years and have not been disappointed.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Self leading.
What's not so great: Upgrades are offered w/o citing the advantages for the specific return

Simple, clear instructions!

This is not the first time I have used Turbo Tax. I choose to use it every year simply because it is a product that performs as it is advertised.
What's great about it: I did not have to have a degree in Accounting
What's not so great: (Didn't get a refund; not Turbo Tax's fault)!

Eases the Pain of Paying Taxes!

TurboTax offers you two easy paths to filling out your return. First, if you aren't too sure about your tax situations, just follow their EasyGuide, a simple question and answer format; and before you know it, you will be all done! This year I tried their other option, "Explore on My Own." Since my return wasn't much different than last year's, I was able to quickly navigate to just the places where I needed to enter my numbers. And often, I didn't need to enter any numbers at all! TurboTax has partnered with hundreds of financial institutions and was often able to import my information with just a couple of clicks. All in all, it was a job well done!
What's great about it: Love being able to download W-2 data right online!
What's not so great: Wish I could have inported my 2010 return info. Didn't like having to all my data again (couldn't find 2011 file.)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to Use

I like the product and find it easy to use. The area on self employment is a bit confusing and asks far too many questions. It's a difficult section for a young adult who may be doing camp counselor type work for a couple of weeks in the summer. The questions and direction it takes you is far more extensive than necessary.
What's great about it: It's easy to follow and easy to go back and work on areas that may have been skipped.
What's not so great: The error check is not easily understood for correcting mistakes.

Not as easy as expected

I technically have 2 businesses, I had 2 1099-Misc forms 1 for each. It was so confusing that I ended up just putting it all under one business.
I chose this version, because I have an LLC and don't have any investments or own property. I also wanted to keep the cost down.
What's great about it: Downloadable, step-by-step quesions
What's not so great: Confusing with 2 businesses. Had to put it all in one.
