2012 Taxes Done! - just in the nick of time!

Taxes are daunting, but Turbo Tax makes it easy! The only delays/challenges I experienced was being interrupted by my children . . . Ha ha!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax made it easy with step by step instructions!
What's not so great: Can't think of a thing that I didn't like.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Works for Me

This is my 3rd year for using TurborTax and it gets easier each year. Used a CPA before and this is as good and not as expensive. Before I used a CPA I did my taxes myself. I will never go back to doing them by hand.
What's great about it: The way it lead me through each step
What's not so great: At times I had to review the questions because I misunderstood them

OK but Not as good as it could be

Going back to a previously completed section to revise - even if using self navigate - forces you to go through entire sections
On final review I was told I was missing infomation - which pointed me to a part of the 1040 that I had a hard time figuring out what I was supposed to fill in and what guided section it appied to. The error decription was too generic - like "name of property" for topic I did not recognize as a capital gains / losses question.
Some reporting docs I received told me what line of the 1040 or support schedule it related to - but it is difficult to determine where it goes when using the guided entry on Turbo Tax because the fields are not cross referenced

Another year done!

Turbo Tax truly makes this filing a 'pleasant' experience, as pleasant as giving away your money to the feds. can be. I forget from year to year what to do and once again, Turbo Tax walks me through the process step by step. I will continue doing taxes myself with Turbo Tax until things get too much for me. I find using the program takes away all the stress and doubt on whether I am listing everything I need or have I received all that I should get. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax makes this dreded time of year so much more bearable.

Piece of cake

I like Turbo Tax because it reviews every income type and deduction. It gives you the opportunity to see what something is, with their built in links, before you spend a lot of time trying to get a deduction you really can't take. I have used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remeber and I have not had a problem with the software. It has helped me get deductions I would never have remembered to take. The program is very easy to use. As long a you can read; you can answer the questions and enter the data requested. Turbo Tax saves a bunch of money over going to a tax service. I get all the forms I need completed with peace of mind that the math will be right as long as I entered the numbers correctly for one low price. Most tax services charge you for each form they fill out. Plus the tax services need you to provide the numbers to them to enter into the forms. Since you already have to have the numbers for them why not enter them yourself and save your self some money. This is a great product.
What's great about it: The product is very easy to use and is very thorough in reviewing all aspects of the tax laws.
What's not so great: I do not have anything that I have not liked abou the product.
