Straightforward filing

I sat down to do my taxes on the 13th, expecting to owe last in years past. TurboTax walked me through things in an easy fashion, retrieved my info from last year to minimize the number of numbers and names to re-enter, and also nicely retrieved the W2s for my wife and I w/out error. It 'remembered' my income from last year so I didn't forget anything. It 'remembered' my usual donation list so I didn't have to re-enter that info, nor did I have to scrounge around for address info. It might have prompted me a few more times to save my work, but I remembered to do that myself and had no issues. This year I got money back for a nice change, so I'm pleased TurboTax made it straightforward enough to do this in basically one day's worth of effort.
What's great about it: - straightforward walk through, could stop/ re-enter as needed, click when needing more information
What's not so great: could prompt for more frequent save/ backup

I really like Turbo Tax for easy filling of my returns. It's great for my daughters EZ forms!
What's great about it: Easy to use, automatically transfers information where needed to no repeat entries
What's not so great: E-File requires ID numbers that are difficult to understand and locate

I use Turbo Tax to do my personal return. The walk through makes it easy to enter data but you can still look at the forms at any time. Turbo Tax tells you what is common and not. Of course it does the math, reducing errors there. It also does validation and tells you your risk of an audit. All of these things gives one confidence that the return is correct.
What's great about it: Turbo tax knows all the rules so I don't have to.
What's not so great: It keeps trying to file a schedule C but my company is an S-Corp

Better than a sharp stick in the eye...

Tax filing is a pain in the @rse every year and it gets worse each year. It's a good thing that TTax simplifies it as much as it does. Since I HAVE to file, I guess it's nice to have TTax on my side...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Fine for Standard Tax Returns

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has made some improvements. The ability to download information from your investments to your wages to your interest income is very helpful. One aspect that I do not like is that if you use the "Step by Step" guide to complete your taxes and make an error and then go back and correct it, Turbotax will not always delete the form associated with your previous error. I accidentally hit the wrong answer for a question regarding a 1099 Misc. and it ended up creating a Schedule C. I happen to notice it while reviewing the details. I was about to be charged extra taxes and when I tried to delete the information via the "Step by Step" guide, it would not permit it. I had to go into "FORMS" and delete the Schedule C.
What's great about it: Reasonably intuitive to use
What's not so great: Edits to the "step by step" process will not always delete or revise the associated forms
