Makes Filing Your Taxes Tolerable

I've used TurboTax for several years. I don't think that I could ever go back to doing taxes the old fashioned way. The program leads you step by step through the process of entering income data and looking for viable deductions. It is also easy to go back and review what you have entered.
What's great about it: Excellent review process to enter the required information
What's not so great: Nags you to upgrade to more expensive version. Costs extra to eFile State tax return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy refund!

I really like turbo tax for easy returns, for instance for my daughters ez forms...it's fast and simple!
What's great about it: Easy to understand, no repeating information, it just transfers it to the next area it will be used!
What's not so great: E-filing requires ID numbers that were a pain to find!

Quick and Easy

For this procrastinator, Turbo Tax offers a way to beat the filing deadline without a trip to the post office. I purchased the software and downloaded it the same day. This is my fourth or fifth year of using Turbo Tax and I have been happy with the results each time.

Takes out the pain

I've used TurboTax for YEARS because I prefer it to doing it "on my own". Filing taxes is painful, but this product simplifies it, removing some of the frustration.
What's great about it: does the math for you, helps you get all the deductions and credits, easy to save your place and come back to finish
What's not so great: have to pay for state filing

Satisfaction Continues

I have used Turbo Tax for about 20 years. I have always found the experience a net positive. There may be a problem, but nothing has come up that I couldn't work out using the program. The 2012 version is the best yet. I now work as an independent consultant, and the program is a big help organizing my expenses and walking me through complicated things like depreciation.
What's great about it: Ability to switch between easy step and do it yourself.
What's not so great: The complexity of our tax system--not Turbo Tax's fault!!

Keeps me sane!

I am been using Turbo Tax for several years. The consistent format helps me prepare during the year by sorting documents in the way they are asked for moving through the program. Quick, simple. I like that! Gets me back outside where I belong!
What's great about it: Ease of use, imports documents, audit insurance
What's not so great: None

Comments for improvement:
- list charities in alphabetical order
- enable print screen (without going to forms)
- 2011/2012 deductions and credits summary page listed 2012 tax preparation fees and unreimbursed employee expenses as $0 (even though actual amounts were listed in Schedule A) -- very confusing
