My Taxes

Last few years it is hard to find all the entries for Comunication expenses (Phone & Internet) for Home Office (employers conveance), Utilities vs. HOA Dues.
What's great about it: Free Fed E-File
What's not so great: Hard to Itemize Home Office

Easy and quick

I have been using TurboTax for many years now and each year it gets better and better. They are always finding ways to make it easier for the average user and the help they provided is clear and understandable (the the regular IRS codes) but plain English! The e-file is the best, no need to printout and send forms or payments (or standing in lines at the post office on April 15th:)
What's great about it: Easy to use, lots of help
What's not so great: It adds 3rd pty fees to use a credit card to pay for taxes owed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I don't have anything really complex to deal with, so it was incredibly easy to do. I really like not having to deal with all the forms myself. If my situation were more complex, I can see that TurboTax would have made it so much easier, since all the various situations are presented clearly, and with explanations.
What's great about it: I don't have to slog through a bunch of forms and fill things out.
What's not so great: only about the tax system, not Turbo tax.

It made filing less stressful

I will recommend Turbo Tax to all my friends and family.
What's great about it: Guided me through the forms and answered my questions in simple language.
What's not so great: None

Maximized deductions

Have used Turbotax for over 5 years and always been pleased with how easy it is to use. I have recommended to friends, and both my sons use it now. The audit support is a great feature to have in case I am ever audited.
What's great about it: Ensures no deduction is overlooked by comparing prev year
What's not so great: Answering same question multiple times if you are reviewing

most agravating, was unable to print specific pages as going through process, ie form with e-file pin and " you just filed your taxes"

Have used TurboTax for several years now and have always appreciated how easy it is to go through. I ran into my first real problem with the education credits as the program asked two very similar questions regarding the student's classes that would give two very different results in refunds. I ended up having to call the IRS to see what refund really applied and had to then pick the correct option that gave the accurate refund. Despite this instance, I would always recommend TurboTax for someone who wants to do the taxes themselves.
What's great about it: Very easy!
What's not so great: Some education credits aren't clearly explained.
