Makes it so easy

I love this product. Tax season used to make me stressed to the point of crying. Who could understand all those terms? This leads you right through, finds things and tells you how to calculate it. I've been using it for years and highly recommend it to the tax novice or experienced tax filer. Noticed this year though that if you go to one state, then move back within the same year, it does not give you more than one option for date ranges in a state. That doesn't work as well for working college students
What's great about it: simple directions
What's not so great: some areas not flexible

Dedicated user for years!

I have been a dedicated TurboTax user for almost a decade. I enjoy the user experience, the thoroughness with which it addresses my financial info, and especially the real-time updating of my rebate on the top. I'll be using TurboTax for years to come.

What's great about it: Very easy to navigate and organize your income and expenses
What's not so great: Re Business Income section user has to to scroll through many pages to input/chnge the non1099 income for the business

Tax forms easy to do

With all the benefits that TurboTax provides, will purchase again to do taxes.
What's great about it: Easy and quick to use. Picks up on missing detail. E-filing and tracking was great.
What's not so great: State E-filing date overrides federal E-filing date, when not done at same time.

IRA & Roths recharacterizations and distributions. Lack of timely information from Investment firms in a different and some what ambiguous format makes its unreasonably difficult to enter into Turbo Tax. Also somewhat compounded by Tax Regulations.
What's great about it: Great. User Friendly

I have used Turbo for the past 5 years and recommend it anyone who thinks they can not do their own taxes.

TurboTax - excellent product!

I've been using TurboTax for many years and absolutely love it. I have fairly easy tax situation so I typically use the "personal" version of the software. I love how the software asks simple questions and I answer it, just like how it would be done in a tax prepare's office. The longest and frustrating part of the whole tax preparation process is the collecting and organizing of the receipts and documents. Once that is done, the software asks questions in easy to understand terms and makes it a breeze to enter the requested information. The step-by-step process ensures that I don't make mistakes or forget to enter required information. I also take advantage of the e-filing. It's simple, secure, and fast and I typically receive my refund within a week or so. I have been very pleased with TurboTax and will continue to use it in the future.
What's great about it: Simple, easy to follow guided tax preparation
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Only the Meek & Worried Can't Handle Turbo Tax

I was your typical scared consumer thinking that only tax professionals can handle 1040 long form. Turbo Tax makes the entry process so simple. Turbo Tax has every scenario in place for income and deduction entries. As long as you have all necessary paperwork, a working computer, and Internet connection, you can do your own tax return for both Federal and state. I have actually learned a lot more doing my federal and state returns versus going to a CPA such as deductions or credits for child-care expenses and energy-efficient home improvements. I am a Turbo Tax user for LIFE!!
What's great about it: Easy entry, carry over info from previous year's return, goes over every scenario for incomes & deductions
What's not so great: none so far
