What's great about it: Helped find missed deductions

Just what I needed

It gets faster every year I use TurboTax! The fact that it pulls from last year's return information makes everything so much quicker and I like the reminder to check and see if I have missed any deductions from prior years. It tells me what the major changes in Federal and State tax laws are every year and that is helpful also. Great job!

I love Turbo Tax

I have phobias of being audited by my taxes through many different lifestyles through out my life. Turbo Tax has made the changes easy with many explainations, alieviating questions and fears.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is easy complete and quick
What's not so great: Tubo Tax is only as efficient as your computer works.

I was disappointed with the system requirements. I did not see it when I purchased the software and didn't find out till a couple of days before my taxes were due and had to purchase and upgrade online and then take my Mac to the store to have the operating system upgraded.
What's great about it: it was easy to use
What's not so great: It did not work when I initially installed it. I had to upgrade my Mac. That was a process and not appreciated!

Great Experience

Overall this is a very easy program to use. It goes through income and deductions step by step. It even gives the option to click for more information if you are unclear what should be entered in a specific area. That is very helpful for those of us who have no tax or financial expertise!
My only problem was that I needed to gather reciepts for a major purchase so finished the remainder of the return before gathering that paperwork. When I went back to the section on local taxes it didn't show the screen that allows you to indicate a major purchase was made. After several attempts (and even looking in other sections in case I forgot where it was) I finally figured out when you get to the screen where it gives your local sales tax deduction you can then hit the back button and it will show the major purchases option. So it shows the options once on the way through, but won't show it again on subsequent visits to the section if it wasn't previously marked. I finally figured out that I could go to the end of the section and hit the back button and the question would reappear. That was the only section that was not user-friendly. I have a feeling it was a software glitch because I did not have any problems navigating back and forth in any other section.
