I think there shoould have been better wording for this since it wasnt a second home. It was my parents and it was divided between 4 siblings.Ms
What's great about it: Turbo tax has always made short work of filing taxes.
What's not so great: Took awhile figuring out 1099S on sale of parents home

I think you should include the cost of filing the state returns so the buyer can make a educated decision on which product to purchase to complete taxes.
What's great about it: quick and easy, straight forward for anybody to complete
What's not so great: the cost to send state returns is too expensive after I already purchased the program

Great software, unclear pricing

In my opinion Turbotax is the only way to do your taxes! The pricing, however, is not very clear. I am still confused as to what the 3 different payments I made whilst using the product were for...
What's great about it: Excellent time and money saver
What's not so great: Pricing is not transparent

Fast and Easy

Overall, I love TurboTax. I've been using it for well over 10 years or so. The quickstep guide makes things very easy and asks all the possible questions to determine all the idiosyncrasies of specific credits or deductions.
Entering W2 and other form data is extremely easy.
The e-file notifications via email are great; so is the where's my refund app! And, every year, I save a PDF version of my entire filings, as if I had printed and copied all my tax forms before filing.
What's great about it: The step-by-step questions
What's not so great: Sometimes it gets hung up on a form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Efficient, One Glitch Only

We have used TurboTax for many years. It's pretty easy to use and very convenient to download the 1099's from our financial brokerage company (a real time saver#. Import of prior year information is automatic #another time saver).
We only ran into one error that we couldn't figure out where we had to call TurboTax for help. Our long-term care premiums were entered in both Schedule C and K-1, but the error message stated that we were above the allowed limit. We tried to search the community board where others had the same problem but no answers. Once we connected with TurboTax, they resolved the problem.

What's great about it: Easy to navigate through the data gathering process
What's not so great: LTC Premium duplicated in Sched. and K-1 resulted in error message which had to be resolved via a phone call to Turbota

This was not as simple as lead to believe. But after 6 hours it is done (I did have several sources of income I had to add.
What's great about it: thorough
What's not so great: Not for the weak stomach

WOW Great Refund

I have used TurboTax for do my personal taxes for about 10 or 15 years and for the last 5 years have also used it to do my business taxes. I wouldn't use any other software.
What's great about it: TurboTax gives you step by step instructions. Easy to use
What's not so great: I can't think of anything negative about TurboTax.

Am I paying double taxes? Paying taxes on my re-invested dividends, and then when I sell paying taxes on the full selling amount?
What's great about it: Easy to use interface.
What's not so great: Investment section (stocks, bonds, mutual funds) could be easier.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
