I've been using Turbo Tax for decades and love it. But it's simple and clear enough for a first-time user.
Doing my own taxes not only saves me preparation fees, it saves me money because I discover deductions or credits that I would not have thought to mention to a tax pro.

We have used Turbo Tax for over a decade and it makes filing taxes easy.

most of the return was easy except the part about doing taxes for a part year resident. my husband is a resident of utah but he lived in washington for 12 weeks. it was difficult to figure out if i was doing things right because i couldn't enter in the right dates for when he was a resident and when he wasn't
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: confusion from simplification
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Worked great and efficiently. Helped me work through the maze of keeping two houses, while selling one and buying another.
What's great about it: Helped me through the intricacies of real estate changes.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Generally I like and have used Turbo Tax for many years and like the way it progresses every year to make entering taxes easier.
What's great about it: Format was easy to follow
What's not so great: Finding out where to enter city sales, and utilities taxes took a lot of time
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
