A little trouble with Invest. Club withdrawal

My wife & I withdrew from an investment club because we plan to move. We took most of the distribution in highly-appreciated stock to help the club. After the stock transfer, we were owed about $200, which we rec'd in cash but we had over $1600 basis left. This means we had to show $1400 too much gain when we sold the stock transferred.
TT would not allow claiming the difference (~1400) as a loss. It would not allow us to change the basis. Finally, I noticed that the K1 form did not have "Final K1" checked. When I checked that, TT generated another form and flagged it for me to add info. (I do not remember what) and that fixed the problem.
However, I never did see how to do this from the regular data entry part of the program. I had to do it from the form view.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use
What's not so great: Invest. Club withdrawal
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Learn a lot on my 1st time

Hope I can play around with this program now I'm done with my taxes so next year I can find where more of my deductions can go.
Other than that, It's not too complicated and saved a heck of a lot of money that going to the other people who do taxes.

What's great about it: Easier to do once you find out it hold extra information then expected
What's not so great: Search doesn't catch on to what you want. Should be updated to handle more general words, then list of options
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I haved used Turbo Tax for several years and am completely satisfied in every respect. I appreciate knowing that I have not overlooked anything and am able to e-file my return. Keep up the great work!

Prompt me to compliance

I became a loyal TurboTax user many years ago when I had significant changes in my income. TT guided me through, provided pertinent input, let me review items I had already completed and made it easy to make changes. Being a repeat user, II also like having the side-by-side comparison between the current year and the previous year.
Keep up the good work. But next year, I hope you have the W-2 import from Ceridian working by the time I'm ready to file my taxes.
What's great about it: Leads me through and compares with previous year
What's not so great: Didn't pull in my W-2 like it did in past years

Overall a good tax program, would like clearer instructions and better guidence on the more compex issues found in many of the more detailed returns. For most individual and/or small business returns TT will meet most expectations.
What's great about it: Good info, easier to use after 1st year, does ALL the math
What's not so great: Have to input ALL info before being told total is too small to deduct!

Long time user!

Year after year I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe. Quick and Easy! From transferring all my kids info, SSN's etc. to W-2 addresses that never change.... so fast!
Got our refund back fast and went FISHING!!!
Filing is cheaper now too - tHanks!
What's great about it: Prior years info transfer, quick and easy.
What's not so great: Not too much

Easy to follow, thorough, takes some of the pain out of doing taxes. Organized step by step approach helps avoid missing items. It seemed that this year's edition was lighter in the "Help" department, with less IRS publications included.
What's great about it: Thorough, organized, helps avoid missing items
What's not so great: Long loading time when opened. Seems lighter in the "help" department than previous editions
