If you use TT year after year, you can sit down and be finished with state and federal in under two hours.
What's great about it: Done in under Two Hours
What's not so great: Tried to include a form I didn't need.

Dreaded Refund

This time is always dreaded but using Turbo Tax make it easier. The built in checks is a big advantage over doing it by hand and rechecking. The reuse of previous Turbo Tax year makes the yearly investment worth it.
What's great about it: TurboTax is easy
What's not so great: You have to pay for it.

Over-all the experience was great. I had my questions answered in a timely manner after posting a question on line. The answers were explicit and told me where to look for answers regarding social security and retirement.
What's great about it: The step by step helped me organize.
What's not so great: Sometimes I had to reread directions to understand a section.

Trying to go back and change a simple thing like how much you are entering into your IRA is so-so easy to do. I wish it was easier to navigate back to a specific spot. One more thing, I wish it told me more hypothetical situations as I go through like how much my refund would be if I was to pick certain options.

i have used the software for the last 10 years and i alway tell myself that i need to search to compare products with another company. but i alway put of the doing of my taxes and i do not leave enough time to compare. maybe this year.
What's great about it: it is easy to work with
What's not so great: i am unsure if it is worth the money
