I would recommend to others!
What's great about it: All of my prior info transferred to current Turbo Tax.

Love Turbo Tax....mostly

I have used Turbo Tax for years and find it very easy to use- even when we had our business and a lot of different schedules to file. Now we are retired, it handles all the different retirement things in a snap.
Best part is the transporting of all our information from year to year. That really saves a lot of time.
What's great about it: Easy to do.
What's not so great: Don't like the new way this year of printing my copy for my files

Quick Complete Reliable

Turbo Tax Deluxe (TTD) has turned a once painful process into an easy manageable personal tax filing exercise. It covers all the required tax topics with clear concise detail. Plus for the analyzing mind there are additional facts and resources to help current AND future scenarios. I am not a Quicken user and am very curious what the TTD program experience is for those that are.
What's great about it: Appreciate the easy entry process. Once all the papers are gathered it is a short hike to the e-file button!
What's not so great: 2012 version seemed to "hick-up" in a couple places - but was EASY to go back to recover ....not prior year experience

I used to have a tax preparation person but I realized one day that I was providing all of the spreadsheets and info she was putting on the forms. I also realized that I could use TurboTax and file myself and save that money.
I have used TurboTax for many years. It gets easier and better to use TurboTax EVERY YEAR. I wouldn't think of using another product.
As far as I'm concerned TurboTax is the BEST! I would tell anyone to use TurboTax before going to any "Tax Expert" company and paying them hundreds of dollars for someting they can do themselves.
I told my daughter about TurboTax. She was afraid she couldn't do it -- but she did and has for several years. It helps her to get a bigger refund focusing on expenses such as: daycare, mileage, interest, depreciation, etc.
What's great about it: specific deductions and expenses that fit my business and life

overall, this is a great product. It really gets into depth with each subject. Even with all of the support and information available, I still found myself searching for explanations online for the education credit (hope vs. lifetime vs opportunity). I couldn't find when these credits started so it took a while to determine if we had paid the hope previously. Also, the itemized donation categories could be expanded a bit - seemed that I couldn't find several common items and I had to pick the closest one or itemize and value it myself. Overall though - this is a great product for the do it yourselfer.

Fast & Easy

I really like the continuity from year to year. My data didn't change much so I didn't have to retype everything. My charities carried forward with their addresses. That is a big time saver.
What's great about it: All my data from last year loaded in seconds. The step by step process is so easy my Elementary School student do it.
What's not so great: I thought the program was on the disk I got in the mail, but I had to download. It slowed me down by 10 minutes.
