Alway a great experience

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and I wouldn't think of using any other product. It's fast and easy. Using It's Deductible throughout the year is the icing on the cake I used to dread doing my taxes because of donations to Goodwill. I'd always wait until the last miute . Now I enter donations as they are made and everything is ready to go come February. Easy as pie!
What's great about it: Ease of use! questions make it easy!
What's not so great: Not a single one that I can think of

Almost Perfect

I have been using TurboTax for 12 years now, and think it gets a little better every year, which is exactly what I would expect from a first-rate company like Intuit. This year's version was no exception. Everything progressed well from start to finish with the only snag occurring as a result of my own inability to navigate the different viewing options as efficiently as I would have liked. A bit more direction and guidance in that area would make the program more "user friendly" for IT-challenged geezers like myself. :o)
What's great about it: Quick, responsive, and thorough
What's not so great: some areas could have used a bit more explanation
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good Deal!

I have used HR BlockTax Cut in the past and I felt this was more thorough.
What's great about it: I liked the fact that this had me check my 2011 tax forms to make sure I needed to list my state tax refund as income.
What's not so great: This started to take me through 5 steps to fix and then it skipped them & I couldn't find them again.

sad to not get refund

although I received a 1098-t that shows I am able to take an additional deduction, this program would not allow me to enter this. Perhaps the instructions were obscure!

Quick & Speedy

As long as you have your records & forms in pretty good order, Turbo Tax makes the process of filing returns very easy. I like the carry-over ability from previous years' returns and the numerous "help" and "for further info" tabs. Plus having them scan my return to assess the risk of audits really eases my anxieties.
What's great about it: I like how it guides me step-by-step, and I especially like how it carries over info (SSNs, etc) from previous years
What's not so great: Taxes aren't fun. Turbo Tax can't erase that aspect from the process.
