Painless tool for painful process

I use TT to prepare my elderly mom's and my taxes. I've no idea how I would get through taxes without it. Too bad they are so complex, but thank goodness for TT.
What's great about it: Easy to use and keeps me out of trouble
What's not so great: Tax code is too complex - not Turbo's fault

Tax information great updates can be better

No problems with tax preparation. Updating forms could have been easier if your prompt had said "the disc must be removed prior to attempting updates" or "remove disc from computer, quit Turbo Tax by using Turbo Tax Menu, restart Turbo Tax and follow prompts to obtain updates." I am not as computer literate as I could be but your instructions should be clear to the novice user.
I went to the chat line which initially said 'less then five minutes' and found my waiting time to be estimated at 92 minutes as I was 28 in the cue. Not sure how long I waited, but was assisted very well by Gregory C.

What's great about it: Tax preparation simple and easy to do with great results.

Turbo tax really helped my husband and I get the most out of our returns. All questions were answered, and it was very easy.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walked me through every step, and I was able to go back and edit and revise a previous tax return.

I am overall very satisfied with the product. I especially liked the step by step guidance and Charity Donation Itemization. The only negative is the fee on the state E-File seems extremely high. The primary purpose of buying Turbo Tax is the benefits of electronic submission and storage along with the ease of filing however the filing fee on the state make me reconsider the overall value.
What's great about it: Great Step by Step guidance
What's not so great: Expensive State E-File fee

Perfect, Quick and No Fuss!

I have used TurboTax since 1997 and LOVE IT! The software walks you through the daunting IRS tax code, and based on your answers, fills in the required forms and calculation sheets needed to prepare and file your taxes. As long as you are organized in your yearly paper work, and keep good records, you can be done in very little time. If you do have questions regarding a section or form, the help and online help are great tools. I've had an accountant do my taxes just to see how close the returns were and they were spot-on. Best software I own.
What's great about it: Takes the guess work out of filing taxes. Step by step...1, 2, 3.
What's not so great: None.

I have used Turbotax for years and would never consider switching to any other software. This is a very efficient program with easy look ups for IRS codes and other things. The Its Deductible program makes charitable deduction itemizing a breeze. Great work Intuit!

No Brainer!

I wouldn't use any other home tax preparation tool, if it weren't for Turbo Tax, I'd be in person at the competition's office.
What's great about it: Got my taxes done! NO hassles!
