No Worries

After the Hurricane I was not sure if I should do my return myself or go to a professional. By I tryed TT first and went to a professional and got the same answers.
I will stick to TurboTax!!
What's great about it: They ask and all I have to do is fill in the blanks.
What's not so great: I was not sure how to get help on something I inputed wrong.

Tax 2012

I have used turbotax for several years and just the last two years have run into problems. Last year the importing of information from the previous year had problems (maybe a vista trbl not sure) that was a pain.This year had two problems one of which was vista itself(lost installation drivers)the other was a questionable download to windows 8. After 3 attempts the download happened. Overall I receive turbo on a auto ordering process but think next year I will buy it at a retail outlet cheaper.
What's great about it: self guided instructions are very good
What's not so great: downloading to windows 8 was questionable and trbl with vista

i didn't know what I was doing and I didn't think I could do it, but because it was so easy it was not hard at all.
What's great about it: Step by step
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

i like turbotax! I have used it for almost 10 years. It has improved each year. And now an added bonus: more companies are coordinating downloading my data into turboTax. It makes the data gathering part of taxes that much more convenient and prevents data entry errors.
What's great about it: easy to navigate and switch back and forth between forms and easy guide
What's not so great: I would like to see % done or something of that nature when working through the easy guide.

Taxex Done & 2 days to spare!

I had canceled my regular Turbo Tax delivery. Then discovered there was nothing better on the market. I finally ordered Turbo Tax, and will remain on the mailing list indefinitely. I've used it for years, don't know what made me cancel. But I'm back to stay.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy and precise.
What's not so great: A little hard to find my place when I returned the next day.

Turbo Tax filing

Program did not enter standard deduction instead put in itemized when standard was $7100.00 and itemized was only $2,300.00 some kind of glitch in the program.. I wonder how many people lost money because of it. Im certain the IRS wont tell them they made a mistake if they have to pay. good thing it was noticed on the print out before check was made out.
It would also so be nice if there was a check off list of papers you need before you start.
What's great about it: guides you step by step
What's not so great: does not calculate correctly at times
