Lifes a breeze with turbo tax

Fifth year for using turbo tax and even though circumstances have changed a bit still easy to use - makes my life easy

Ihave found turbo tax very helpful over the last 3 years . They found deductins I had overlooked twice now . Exellent !The step by step format was clear to follow , and they explained everything well .
What's great about it: step by step and able to review any time

easy to check scenerios

make state free- in Oh you can file for free but who want to entere everything again. Make it free
What's great about it: down load broker info, took care of foreign dividends
What's not so great: wanted to charge extra for efile for state (deducted from refund)

It Works

Used TurboTax for my 10th year. I tried another program one time - and one time only. The ease of using the program and the reliability of it makes it a winner.
What's great about it: Comprehensive
What's not so great: Some forms are hard to access and/or delete

Overall, Turbotax is a great product. My only complaint is that it doesn't clearly show how the tax refunds are calculated. Also it is not 100% clear on what qualifies as deductions in some sections.
What's great about it: Easy to keep documentation organized
What's not so great: Not 100% clear on what does or does not qualify.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good Tax Product

We have to remember that tax laws and rules are not easy to follow, even if our situation is simple. TurboTax makes it as much easy as possible to file taxes.

Moving to a Tax Preparer

This year we had a lot of difficulties with Turbo Tax. The discs mailed out were incorrect so I had a lot of back and forth with customer service along with the place I purchased it at to receive an update.

TT made tax prep / filing easy

Have used TT for years. I like that Intuit continues to make improvements and has expanded import options.
What's great about it: Liked the interview option and helpful explanations both in the program and on the website.
What's not so great: Would have liked TT to tell me why my 2012 tax differed from 2011.
