Ready set and done right

It was easy for more experienced taxpayers to go directly to forms and worksheets. However, it was often difficult to find out exactly where information is entered.
What's great about it: Easy to move around forms
What's not so great: too many worksheets. Difficult to trace entries

Thanks again for the fine software, I would like to see an improvement to navigating to previous entries that are in sub groups i.e. union due deduction.

Turbo Tax Tricked Out My Refund

I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years or longer. I'll never go back to doing them on my own. It takes me through step by step and helps me to catch all of those elusive deductions.
What's great about it: Clear instructions that take you through step by step
What's not so great: Sometimes you have to hunt a bit to find the info you need to answer a question
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

We have been utilizing TurboTax for over 10 years and I am hooked. TurboTax allows me the ability to take the time I want in preparing for and doing my Taxes. TurboTax is user friendly and helps the most novice taxpayer expert assistance at your fingertips. Why change the way I prepare my taxes when TurboTax does it all! Will always use TurboTax as long as they keep the cost down and program great. Thanks for another year of easy tax preparation.

2012 Hassels

In 2012, I filed Chapter 7. There was a particular form that I needed in order to not be liable for the taxes on a debt. It was impossible to do that on the downloadable version, so I had to run out to the store and buy the disc (once I found someone who still had one in stock), come back and transfer my information to the disc. Once finding the form, this was something I had to enter on my own - it was not the animated version, but at least it was tied into my electronic file so I didn't have to file the paper version. This was a real hassel, but I did get back on track, and hopefully I will never need this form again!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is very user friendly, however............
What's not so great: sometimes have to become an investigator to figure some things out.

Turbo Tax 2012 Fabulous Filing

I spent way less time than I thought I would getting my taxes prepared and filed. I was thrilled that Turbo Tax imports my old tax information so I don't have to keep filling in the same blanks with the same information every year. I especially like the review that looks for possible errors. That increases my confidence, and then to know that I'm covered with Turbo Tax support, that is a real plus. Thanks for making this so user friendly for a system of laws that boggles the mind.
What's great about it: Easy progression through the steps--it is so easy to step through all the possibilities of income and expense.
What's not so great: Going back to re-do an entry was a little tricky to find my place again.
