Home Office Deduction Extremely Difficult
on April 13, 2013

The section regarding deduction expenses for having a home office was extremely confusing! I will not be using Turbo Tax in the future because of this. I'm sure that I'm not getting the best refund becuase that section of the interface was so difficult to use! Very dissapointing!

Expensive to add state returns Expensive to e file Next year will not buy. My state has free efiling. Does not prompt on state credits - had to look up at State Revenue site anyway to save $400. Had to file amended return on account same problem in past...poor product
What's not so great: Too expensive to add state returns

Last-Minute Taxes!
on April 13, 2013
Posted by: Zoidly
Once again, it's 2 days from filing day and I finally got around to do my taxes! Turbo Tax was what everyone suggested so I went with it (3rd year now). Online purchase and download was fast - up and running in a few minutes. Finished and filed in about an hour - a little longer than I had expected, but the payoff was worth it! Looks like a good night's rest tonight! See you next year TurboTax!
What's great about it: Fast, easy and gentle on the nerves
What's not so great: It took a little longer than I had expected.
Pros: I moved

Man, the state part of the taxes was awful.
on April 13, 2013

I took a stab at figuring out some of this stuff. For straightforward itemized deductions it is just fine, however, when another state comes into play you guys simply do NOT explain how to portion interest, dvidends, etc. It's crazy. I was stuck at this late date in having to do it myself.
What's great about it: Normally there is plenty of straightforward help
What's not so great: Terrible, circular definitions of state issues for part-time residence
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not bad - Two States!
on April 13, 2013
Posted by: garrettm
I had to file a return for two different states this year because I moved. Normally I work through the returns myself, but didn't want to take the time to review the complexities involved in filing for living in two locations - turbotax got the job done.
What's great about it: Allowed me to complete two states
What's not so great: Additional cost for second state
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
