You're breaking my balls!

I have been using turbo tax for the past 15 years. It's easy to follow and to input all pertinent data. I like it that help files are easy to find and conveniently placed within the normal flow of the return.
What's great about it: Easy to understand - especially the risk for audit
What's not so great: I ended up having to pay

Good, but missed important strategy hints

The primary goals addressed in this application seem geared more for people fully understanding the in's and out's of tax preparation with a little assistance. Where the experience did not deliver was in helpful suggestions for better managing our taxes / liabilities. Due to some vesting RSU's this year, we found ourselves in a new tax bracket. It took going to a financial counselor to discover that we could save ALOT buy simply adjusting some of our contributions. This was a simple solution that could be included in the prompts and reduce some of the acceptance barrier for using TurboTax for preparation.
What's great about it: Wizards and tools helped manage donations / deductions
What's not so great: Could not offer suggestions to reduce taxable income
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Fast and easy

If you have little time or patience or experience with filing tax returns and don't have way overly complex tax issues you really can't do better than Turbo Tax deluxe. The speed, convenience and accuracy are brilliant and it covers all of the topics that would apply to the vast majority of filers.
What's great about it: super easy to get downloaded and done
What's not so great: nothing

Why go anywhere else?

Over the years I have tried other tax programs, but have always come back to TurboTax. It is easy to fill in and has always imported my prior years return without any errors. I like the easy and convienent pop-up helps which usually answers my questions without having to look any further.
What's great about it: Easy to use, price is a great deal and simple to follow guides.
What's not so great: In charitable contributions it was hard to enter various mileages.

I've been using this product for years and keep going back! Super quick, lots of information if I need it, and love the auto transfer of recurring information!
What's great about it: quick and easy!
