Good Job

I only had one problem this year. Where to put Misc. Income where there is no W-2 or 1099. Yes, I finally found the spot but it took some searching. You'd think that the IRS would want to make it easy to declare CASH income. Not so easy.
What's great about it: Quick, easy.
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to know where to enter things if you have to go back and edit a section.

after all the banking info is entered, reviews, risk review, time for electronically filing turbo tax ALWAYS stops everything for updates. It seems ridiculous to download the state and still have updates that need to be downloaded. After UPDATING the federal.at the beginning of the log in It then locks up the program.......needing to force the restart. If you are going to program a stop the program right at the point of transmitting your taxes for updates..do it before you get to that stage. Maybe at the final review? Many opportunities to do it before the very end! This questions my continued use of this program.
What's great about it: seems simple and intuitive
What's not so great: it is NOT right to have everything stop at point of transmission

Turbo Tax was very easy to use. It stepped me through each section with ease. I will continue to use Turbo Tax every year.

Enjoyed how Turbo Tax lead me through each step of the tax filing process. As I went through each step, I gained confidence that each detail was being considered as I completed my return. The error check process at the end gave me additional confidence that the return was being calculated correctly.
What's great about it: Lead me through all the details to get my return finished in record time.
What's not so great: Easier access to tax tables that show break-offs in tax rates.

Absolutely the best

Takes the worry our of what forms to fill out and if my is math correct. Turbo Tax is just easy to use. If you can read and type a little you can do your taxes with ease.
What's great about it: Easy to define and list deductions
What's not so great: Wish state efile was free

I'm a separated taxpayer, filing seperately. Turbotax was able to properly fill out my tax forms for tricky situations such as splitting interest on a mortgage, a cafeteria plan, and tax credits for my child. All of this is handled through a series of easily understandable and well explained questions.
My complicated taxes were completed in only a couple of hours.
What's great about it: Complicated topics are handled with simple questions.
What's not so great: Sometimes, questions don't help answer your particular situation.
