This year I moved from one state to another...so a first for me to file two states...so this time filing was a little more intense...as I sold a home...next year should be better. Thank you Turbo for helping me.

I had no idea that the energy credit implementation would negate e-filing. Just curious why this glitch has not been solved by IRS.
What's great about it: Clear and concise for 2012
What's not so great: Some confusion about 2011 vs. 2012

Have used Turbo Tax for about ten years now. Always easy step by step instructions and suggestions. Never a doubt as to what to claim or what forms to file. I will always use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Takes you through step by step-no questions
What's not so great: Can't submit a review without a nickname. Difficult to select

My Taxes Gone Turbo!

There were a few times that I had a really hard time understanding what numbers they were looking for. It would provide the federal amount and then ask for the state amount, and I would have absolutely no idea where to find these numbers. I would recommend adding instructions on how to find and calculate the exact numbers they are wanting. Such as on the state self-employment tax. I think Turbo Tax is great and would recommend it to anyone. However, I do not think that is is quite 100% yet because it is not completely understandable to people who are doing it for their first or second time. So I would give it a 98% user friendly.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow
What's not so great: Hard time figuring out where some numbers came from
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy and awesome for an economical price.
I like to backup pdf files etc. to a usb drive, adding a button for this at the end would be nice, although right now it works great for importing year to year.

Without The Hassle

The only things I found missing (or not clearly indicated) were where to enter the bank safety deposit box cost and cost of TB sw.

I enjoy using Turbo Tax each year as it makes the entire process less stressful and certainly beats doing taxes by hand. It is also simple to find answers to questions that come up and complete the filing online.
What's great about it: Easy walk-through of each section
What's not so great: No online interface or backup
