The way to file

The US Tax code is impossible to follow without the help of Turbo Tax. After completing the step-by-step process, its unbelievable how many complicated forms got filled up that manually would require weeks or months of digestion to understand

Turbotax allows me to do my taxes (with small business information) in about 4 hours. Much better than forms!

indispensable help

I've always liked how well and how quickly TurboTax works through possible deductions and the like, especially how it saves me me hours and hours of reading through instructions and tables to figure out whether or not I qualify for this or that.
This year we had a lump sum withdrawal from a retirement plan, and TurboTax as usually was very helpful in figuring out how much extra we owed, but I did have to spend some time searching around help windows to find out how and why so much was being taken out. Still a lot better than having to do it all myself.
What's great about it: thorough, sophisticated, and powerful
What's not so great: could offer a little bit more explanation what's going on

federal great, state could be better

states could be easier... i have to file two states. it's a pain.

What's not so great: i have to file 2 states & it is always confusing, even using tax software. wish it just took my info from federal
