Easier to use than ever

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and it's only improved over time.Being able to print or save at any time has always been my favorite feature. Printing to a PDF file is the best. I file my taxes, print all the forms, burn everything to a couple of compact discs and then file them away in a secure location. Next year it's a breeze to import the data and get started on that years return. It's a product I have trusted for years and will probably continue to use it for years to come..
What's great about it: Being able to search for donations is an awesome feature.
What's not so great: Nothing that I could find.

Minimized my oligations

As usual, we waited till close to the end of the filing season.
My partner did a final review and decreased our obligations. It is great having someone else look over your return.
What's great about it: Step through was very clean
What's not so great: I hate to pay for filing state returns

It's really a great product. It's flexible enough for you to choose a specific topic, and comprehensive enough for you to follow through the list of topics to make sure everything is covered.
Areas that could be looked into for future improvement would be automatic "behind-the-scenes" checking for product updates, and ability to bundle together states as part of a package, especially for those of us with obligations to file in multiples states.

TAXes are a pain

Not clear on many items. Does not allow filing without penalty even if there should not be one.
What's great about it: Fairly easy step-by-step; Easy to jump around as needed
What's not so great: Does not catch everything.

I paid back taxes in 2012 for a 2010 return. I couldn't find a way to add it to my 2012 fed tax form.

First Tax Experience

This is my first time filing and I thought it was really easy to understand and made tax filing not such a scary thing to have to deal with, It was cool that I got some money back and I look forward to using it again for many tax years to come.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, step by step, great explanations
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
