tt has made understanding taxes simpler
What's great about it: somewhat fast
What's not so great: trying to get back to skipped areas without flagging was difficult esp. interest reporting div income

2012 RETURN

I am a procrastinator, so naturally, I wait until the last minute every year to file my returns,
With Turbo tax, I've always been able to meet the deadline.
I haven't always received a refund, but with Turbo Tax, I understand why things are the way they are and I can adjust my finances for the next filing season. Plus, Turbo tax will give you advise as to how to accomplish this.

The only way to do taxes

This is the only way to do taxes .. all 3 .. Fed, State, and Local all covered. I trust Turbo Tax for doing the detail work of analyzing the tax codes and condensing to a walkthrough in their product.
What's great about it: Clearly walks you through every step
What's not so great: None compared to what you would have to do manually

i always use turbo tax. i'm not smart about taxes at all, but it makes it so simple for me to do and i don't worry! i recommend to all people especially if you are new to doing your own taxes because the program takes you through every detail quick and easy so no worries!

I continue to use this program because of it's ease of use. I would recommend it to my friends and family.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Doesn't auto save return I had to start over and lost a bunch of work.

Killing Me Softly

I paid extra to "Maximize My Refund" and go through all possible deductions, but since I'm not married, I dont' own my home, I don't have kids, and I don't rely on government assistance, I ended up owing money instead. This, the year that I have paid the highest taxes of my adult life. Thank you, Turbo Tax, and the United States Governmnet for helping me realize that hard working people really do finish last.
What's great about it: Easy to Use!
What's not so great: Didn't "Maximize My Refund"

Overall, very pleased with the product.
What's great about it: Walks you through all that you need to fill out all forms.
What's not so great: Forces you to go through quarterly withholding to carry forward your refund to next year.
