Easy Does It

I've used turbo tax for several years now, and have always been happy with how quick and easy it is to complete tax returns which are somewhat complex. I like the program's computing the various worksheets involved in figuring out limitations to itemized deductions, pension exclusions, and whether one is liable for the alternative minimum tax. I also like the electronic importation of W-2 and various 1099-DIV forms. My only quibble is that ItsDeductable should have many more types of items included, i.e. it needs to be more robust.
What's great about it: Extremely user friendly, whether following the step-by-step instructions or skipping around the menu.
What's not so great: It'sDeductable could use more entries. Missing common items like punch bowls, silver service, etc.

Always dependable and quick

Other than the problem with being able to view the whole screen on the charitable donations, I have always depended on TurboTax to make doing my own taxes quick, easy and cheap.
What's great about it: Excellent program to walk you through all deductions and credits
What's not so great: The program for assigning value to charitable donations had a screen that was too small and wouldn't expand

The software is easy to use and pulls information from previous years forms which speeds up the filing. I will use it every year.
What's great about it: Clearly asks the right questions to get everything covered.
What's not so great: Many areas that do not apply to everyone.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Taxes made simple

I've used turbotax for four years now - its easy to use and provides clear explanations of what's being asked for and why. Especially like the error check - a "are you sure" look that helps identify a potential oversight.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand - explanations are very helpful
What's not so great: Cant find anything to complain about

This is the third time I've used TuboTax and will be the LAST!
After working through all the process (2 days, off and on)
when I went to print, it did not work!
