Whew! Taxes in.

This product walked me through tax preparation step by step, reviewed it all, and reminded me of things I may otherwise have missed. I have great confidence in TurboTax. Members of my extended family always use this program also. I tried other products in the past because they were less expensive -- but realized once again you get what you pay for. TurboTax is worth it.
What's great about it: TurboTax makes sure nothing is missed.

Easy and complete way to do my taxes.

Turbo Tax has made this confusing chore very easy. I have been offered by friends to pay to have my taxes done and I always refuse because I like this non judgmental way better. Turbo Tax has never said I was disorganized! Like having a friend sit with me.
What's great about it: The item by item walk through
What's not so great: none that I can think of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Quick, simple, and easy. All I had to do is type in the necessary fields. The software helped me out.
What's great about it: Quick and easy and no trips to the post office.

Did not recognize at first hat my State in not taxed when I wanted to move onto the Review section... I had to jump up to the menu tabs to skip the "State Tax" section for Florida...

Got taxes done

Turbotax is quick and easy to do. I have used the product for years. Hardest part about is accumulating all the data that you enter in. You have to do the hard part no matter who you take it to. I guess you could take all your data to an accountant in a box and let them sort it but you will pay for that big time!

Reliable but with 2012 quirks....

Most everything was great, and I appreciate having the 2011 info available to make sure I'm not missing something on Schedule C. Things got a bit twisted for my Schedule-C business/personal use of my car because mid-year I traded it in and bought a new one. The software should've/could've walked me thru that transfer, but instead somehow duplicated forms and I ended up with things in the error check that I didn't what they meant. Searching help showed I wasn't alone. I won't buy a car for several years, but hopefully next time that won't happen.
What's great about it: Imported my past info and my W2 and saved time! Walked me thru everything.
What's not so great: Quirks with auto deductions on Schedule C

Using Turbo Tax Deluxe Software

Most of the time, Turbo Tax Deluxe can save you time, but occasionally, you can get stalled trying to find answers that only a tax professional or the IRS can answer! My hope is that Intuit will add more answers to in-depth tax questions in their Deluxe version.
What's great about it: Saves time
What's not so great: Still not quite as good as hiring a tax professional
