Mildly Disappointed

We have used the program for several years. Easy and convenient way to accurately and proficiently file our state and federal taxes. Will continue to use in the future.
What's great about it: easy, straight forward program to use
What's not so great: disappointed we had to pay both fed and state - not TTs problem

Easy money

Another successful year using Turbo Tax. I used to go to a tax prep service and was rushed through the process so they could get to the next person. I would always find mistakes which they never had an explanation for. Using Turbo Tax in the comfort of my home allows me to take the time to review the data as I go and make adjustments before filing. A great experience.

Accuracy is everything

I've used Turbotax for as long as I can remember. This is the first year I've ever paid taxes. I received a federal return, but had to use about 10% of it to pay my state taxes. I'm not complaining though. It's just my fault for making more money! Turbotax always makes me feel like I'm secure in my tax filings.
What's great about it: Easy to use, seems very detailed, I like the step by step methodology

1. used TurboTax this year,because I didn't have all of the paperwork to my accountant on time, later then I planned.
I was still able to get my return done before the deadline, a little at a time. I liked that I was able to stop, save it, to get last minute paperwork I needed to complete my return.

The format is helpful and comfortable to use. It gathers a lot of information with minimum interaction in areas that don't happen to apply to you. That's 95% of the experience.
I did have some issues.
When I wanted to set the amount of my refund to apply to next year I had trouble finding it and didn't learn much in the regular help. Turns out I was trying to do this way ahead of the point it comes up in normally. I tried the forms view but I don't recommend making changes there. I was able to find the place to do this in the federal area, but not in the state form. Eventually the choice came up in the state tax area but I'm just unhappy that I couldn't figure out how to make this change without waiting for it to come up.

When I was looking around in the state area I found that I had to choose the "I'd like to view or update a specific area ..." option after each area that I looked in. This is annoying and unlike the federal part.
And finally, the silly/lame part: I had federal and state refunds coming but chose to apply them to next year because they will be needed for estimated taxes. Because of this I owed nothing and had no refund amount either. As a result I was congratulated several times during the filing section for my great "planning", even though this was entirely due to applying the actual refunds to next year, which I don't consider to be good planning at all. Also, these congratulations came up several times - silly.
What's great about it: The format works well and keeps the fear factor low.
What's not so great: Some rough areas when I wanted to do something and couldn't find it
