The only item that is irritating is having to scroll to the bottom of the "completed" lists for both income and deductions. Just cursor down and show the next item in the window! That one feature would make it "Excellent"!

I like the new look. I've been a user for many years now and it is absolutely easy to file and work. I do not use quicken but could imagine that would add ease as well.

The step by step wizard walks thru each item. A detailed explanation option is provided at each step. Turbo Tax makes it easier every year.

Works for general tax payers

I have a lot of 1099 work in combination with my w2, and the way it breaks down my 'self employment' is confusing. I wish there was some way that Turbo Tax could really talk about all the options with a wider range of possible employment terminology. I may be missing some deductions I could take, only because TT uses the legalese words to talk about them, and I'm in the arts - so I don't understand a lot of legalese, but I understand the concepts. If it could better explain the concepts to me, then I don't believe I would feel the current need to find a highly reviewed tax professional to look over what I've done with TT.
What's great about it: Did the math, asked the questions, helped me get through my tax situation
What's not so great: Isn't a tax professional that offers customized advice for specialized income situations.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Well put together. Very detailed and sure to cover most tax situations for preparing your tax return. I found the product to be very detail oriented and the help/suggestions very useful. I really appreciate the ability to download multiple state tax returns.
What's great about it: Detailed and well organized
What's not so great: May be a little overwhelming for the lay person

I still don't feel that I completely understood how many states I need to file in, the explanations never really made it clear.
What's great about it: its easy to follow when the item is clearly understandable
What's not so great: hard to understand on the complicated items
