It is very easy and the price is fantastic when compared to having them done.
What's great about it: I love that it transfers all the data each year! Also the comparison of the previous year is very helpful.
What's not so great: None so far.

Not as seamless as past years - but still GOOD!

I've used TurboTax (and its predecessor Personal Tax Edge every year since the early 1990's.#
Admittedly, because I had major financial disruption in 2010, I had my 2011 taxes done professionally last year. That gap made all the difference because there was nothing to import. It didn't go looking into my Quicken file. It was like starting over.
Compounding the time it takes, my first install #on Windows 8 Pro) wasn't perfect. It insisted that I pay for my state return in order to download it - which I wasn't willing to do.
Some of the forums said I wasn't alone in this problem, so I uninstalled - and reinstalled. It saved my semi-complete form and when I reopened everything, all was well.
TurboTax is still the best preparation software out there AND if you use it year after year, your preparation time is very short.
What's great about it: Still the most efficient tax calculating machine!
What's not so great: Had to uninstall and reinstall before it would do my state taxes and e-file free

Very Please With the Ease of Use

After a couple years hiatus, I decided to go back to using TurboTax. We had been using a tax professional, but we felt that he really didn't give us good advice for what we should do to lower our taxes for the following years. After last year's tax return, I went online and plugged in the information on TurboTax's website and found that the difference was only $50. For what we paid this guy we could have purchased several copies of TurboTax and donated them to friends!
I am familiar with TurboTax's interface and believe that it is one of the friendliest interfaces that you can find out there. I didn't get "lost" and it felt like someone was guiding you along. We even had a different situation this year and TT handled it seamlessly. We're sticking with TT from here on out!
What's great about it: User-friendly
What's not so great: None that I encountered

There's a lot of stuff it automatically fills in if you've used it the year before which is nice. It would be nice however, if it uploaded all the w2 when it does the basic information. It's a great tool though, and made doing taxes very easy. It's a lot cheaper than having someone else prepare them for you.
What's great about it: it is very easy to use
What's not so great: it would be nice if the whole w2 was uploaded to it
