Overall good experience. Nice to see how the return is shaping up as you progress. However it is a little scary after income is in but deductions aren't. It gets better as deductions are added. Thorough and worked great for our tax situation.
What's great about it: Lots of help along the way. Guide or do it on your own was great
What's not so great: Paying for state return

Had to correct state return--did not ask whether interest from in-state banks. Investment sections much more confusing than previous years--did not explain IRS terms at all.
What's great about it: Can do taxes
What's not so great: Printing and saving confusing

Have used for many years. Info gets carried over which can be helpful. I wish it were easier to get between working info and seeing actual 1040 form or Schedule D or another actual form. Sort of a split window type thing. Did not like the State of TN form as actual info was difficult to edit. Because there are exemptions where dome interest or dividends are not taxed, it would have been easier to work on final form area than out of the info that fed into it. For retired person, harder to use 'cause so many areas that aren't pertinent.
What's great about it: All info got entered.
What's not so great: Had to dig for some info on where to make entries.

I used the turbo tax fr the last several years. The main problem is that the program is expensive plus you have to pay to e-file the state taxes. I think it should be all inclusive once you pay the price of the program ( should include the free filing of onwe state and federal tax return). otherwise, it is fast and eay. Does all the work for you. Would recommend to others
What's great about it: easy, understandable ,fast
What's not so great: expensive

As a retired CPA, TT is easy to use and understand. Usually use both the program as set up and the individual forms that I know that I will need. Have used TT and its forerunner for many years.
What's great about it: Easy to use and comprehensive.
What's not so great: Some yearly changes take awhile to discover. For instance, the printing of individual forms.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I found easy to use for my college aged daughters. I did have one problem this year. I accidentally hit a cancel button and had to start over. With that I lost my one "free" state tax submittion. There is plenty of support while your preparing your taxes, but no software support. I ended up just paying for the both of the state returns instead of just one. Perhaps Intuit reads these reviews and will contact me in regards to this issue.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Should have an automatic save feature.
