Absolutely the best way to make this experience as painless as possible. I would not attempt to ever do taxes again without TurboTax!
What's great about it: imported my W-2's
What's not so great: Would like to print out detailed comparisons to previous years

Love TurboTax, have been using the software for over 5 years! No complaints at all!
What's great about it: Takes a load of stress off of filing taxes
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Problem

Program properly transferred 2011 Federal Data, but erroneous 2011 State Refund Data into this year's (2012# return. Deleted, then regenerated a new 2012 return #3# times, but same erroneous state refund data transfeered each time.
I made a manual correction to the #2012) return. However you needed another check box. The only two options were we revised last year's state return or the state had revised the return and refund. You need another box for Other or Turbo Tax Program error.

Another Year Completed

Having used Turbo Tax for many years I appreciate the data transfer from previous years to help speed along the lengthy process.
I really appreciate the step by step process of completing such an involved financial review to complete annual taxes.
In the future I will check with my state's tax information website first in order to find free filing for all taxes. Now that State and Federal agencies request e-filing there are several tax software companies, including Turbo Tax involved with providing free filing, some with minimal restrictions.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax helps speed up the lengthy process of filing taxes.
What's not so great: Additional costs for State filing with moderate priced software.
