Turbo tax comments

I like most of Turbo Tax but I found a couple of frustrations.
1 In my NJ return it see said I had an error in not supplyiny NJ k-1 on business income. I had no business income and left fields blank so the tax calculations were OK but it would not allow me to Efile the NJ return since there was no NJ K1 for this phantom income.
2. in trying to adjust my income for estimated taxes the whole procedure was confusing and it even asked me for AMT tax estimate instead of calculating from the data I gave. That was very poor.

2012 - Easy and Fast

I have used TurboTax in the past, but not for the last three years due to several years of complicated returns. This year as less complicated and I have always been satisfied with TurboTax. It was easy, thorough, and quick. I am happy with the refund I will be receiving.

Improved

Have used TurboTax for years and love how easy it pulls in info from previous years. The NC state form was much improved this year for those of us that are vested and do not have to pay state taxes on retirement.
What's great about it: Very fast plus all recommendations from last year were used.
What's not so great: Too easy to check file an amended return..had to delete & restart

Tax Misery Made Less Miserable

Have used TurboTax for several years and always buy it through a retail outlet. The repeated email pitches became a bit annoying.
What's great about it: Step-by-step process with 2011 history provided was appreciated.
What's not so great: I have to pay this year :(

Easy to Use

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now, and I think it gets better every year. I wish they had more financial insitutions in their data import section, my bank is one of the 10 largest in the country and it was not listed
What's great about it: Walks through EVERYTHING
What's not so great: Not all data can be imported

harder to find specifc deductions like purchasing a/c units. the yes no question had to be selected based on the opposite of the words thought the intention was to be selected.
What's great about it: easy to use
